Til Orgelkraft har John Derek Bishop alias Tortusa spesiallaget en lydinstallasjon av bevegelige høyttalere. Høyttalerne er montert inni rør, og musikken de spiller av, er laget av samples fra orgelet i Fartein Valen. Installasjonen blir å høre og se flere ganger i løpet av fredagskvelden.

Dessuten er John Derek involvert som programmerer i prosjektet ORGELKRAFTWERK, seinere samme kveld.

John Derek Bishop er en norsk-amerikansk elektronikamusiker og komponist fra Stavanger. Når han bruker artistnavnet Tortusa, er det ambient elektronisk musikk det gjelder.  Tortusas album ”I know this place – The Eivind Aarset Collages” lanseres i mars 2016. Musikken bygger på samples fra Eivind Aarsets katalog hos Jazzland Recordings. Det er brukt gamle båndmaskiner, modulære synthesizere, samplere og en rekke andre verktøy.

For Orgelkraft, John Derek Bishop alias Tortusa has created a sound installation of mobile loudspeakers. The speakers are mounted in cardboard tubes, and the music played back is built on samples from the Stavanger concert hall organ. 

In addition, John Derek takes part in the project ORGELKRAFTWERK, as the main beat programmer.

John Derek is a Norwegian/American electronic musican and composer, based in Stavanger. When he operates as Tortusa, his identity lies in ambient electronic music. Tortusa's album "I know this place - The Eivind Aarset Collages" is released in March 2016. Samples from Eivind Aarsets catalogue are processed and mixed with modular synthesizers, tape machines, samplers and other devices.
